The Skinny on Body Fat
Fat. It’s a three-letter “four-letter word.” Excess body fat can be harmful to health, and packing extra pounds on hills turns you into an anchor on a bike. Consider this: If a fit 165-pound rider loses 10 pounds but retains the same power, that person will save 2 minutes on a 5-mile, 6-percent climb.
